City Harvest Church is a Full Gospel church rooted in the Truth of God’s Word and fueled by the fire of Pentecost. CHC is led by founder and lead Pastor, John Mays and is honored to be under the covering of City Harvest Network.
Our Message is ‘Change’. God never intended for us to stop moving forward. Everything in God’s Kingdom is progressive and it moves. Rather you are just coming to knowledge of God’s saving grace or you have been a Christian for most of your life, we are called to advance. The Kingdom isn’t sedentary nor should its people be!
Our Focus is not to grow a church but to grow the People in the church. People who know their right as children of God’s Kingdom and who live in the authority and anointing meant for each of them.
Our Heart is for People. Pastor Mays believes his place is with the people and not set out of reach. He also believes in the church being ‘The Church’ and directly helping our brothers and sisters who are in need. Jesus spent his time with the people he ministered to and Pastor Mays believes this is the need of the church today.
Our Call is to be an ‘Uncommon People’ and to run counter to the current of the culture today and to be set apart for God’s exclusive use.
Our Commission comes directly from Jesus Himself in the 16th Chapter of Mark:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
